Ken is from the wild west of Ireland. He has spent much time in India with extended periods of study and practice at remedial, spiritual and scientific schools of Yoga. His style has been described as strong, energetic, deeply grounding and non-conventional. Ken’s major disciplines are in traditional and western yoga practice, tai chi, meditation, lymphatic breathing and many other
spiritual art forms that he has mastered out in India. Given Ken’s frequent training trips to India and further East, the style of Yoga he teaches has evolved in its expression since his first qualifying as a Sivananda Yoga teacher. However energetic, deep or strong one practices a posture, a sense of ease is emphasised. “Find the Crucial point of each Stretch”, Ken readily suggests to his students; this being that point of greatest Openness where the body has not yet reached any severe sense of pain or strain. Ken hosts Juicy Yoga Cleanse retreats in Ireland, England, France , and works alongside Juice Guru Mr Jason Vale in the Turkish mountains and also in Portugal.
With over 18yrs experience with yoga, Yasmin teaches Kundalini and Hatha Classes in Dublin and Wicklow. She is a qualified montessori Teacher and has intoduced yoga to montessori schools in Wicklow. Studying yoga in all its different forms, she continues to attend intensive workshops with senior teachers all over Ireland. Co founder of Soairse Yoga School and owner of Sankalpa Healing Rooms. For almost two decades now Aisling has been working with a variety of holistic therapies and practicing Yoga. She is a Master Teacher of Usui Reiki and is also an accredited Teacher with the Diana Cooper Foundation. Her passion is to help people open up to the amazing healing energy available all around us. Creating and holding a loving and safe space for treatments, classes and residential retreats is something that comes naturally. After practicing yoga for many years she decided to go expand her knowledge by training as an Aquarian Kundalini yoga teacher with the Jivan Mukta Academy. Following this she also studied and qualified as a pregnancy and children's yoga teacher. She facilitates an array of classes, workshops, training courses and sharing circles. She combines her wealth of knowledge on complementary therapies with her passion for yoga and helping people realize their true potential through positive thinking and attitude. Although already a well established teacher, she continues her own journey as a student and travels to Rishekish in India often to explore the culture and traditions of this magical county. 2017she completed a 200hr YTT with an emphasis on anatomy, physiology and yoga philosophy with senior teachers Micheal McCann and Paula Flood. Aisling has been awarded a Chartered level 1 membership with Yoga Alliance UK, Yoga Alliance Professionals. Arc Healing workshops are now recognized as CPD with Yoga Alliance UK, Yoga Alliance Professionals.
I first discovered Yoga in Australia in the year 2000 and though I had always engaged in physical exercise, I knew straight away that this was something different – something more than just physical movements. The connection I felt between body, mind & spirit was exactly what I had been searching for and it brought me home to myself. Since then, Yoga has had a profound influence on my life and I look for Yoga (Union of Body, Mind and Breath) everywhere – both on and off the mat. Over the past fourteen years, I have practiced a number of different styles of Yoga from classical Hatha to Iyengar and Astanga. Most recently, I have been exploring the world of Somatic Movement and in my own practice I find that gentle Somatic movements preceding Asanas (Yoga postures) allow for greater release of tension in the body. Following a 500-hour Yoga Alliance-certified training over a two-year period from 2010 to 2012, I received my teaching qualification from Yoga Therapy Ireland (www.yogatherapyireland.com) where one of the core beliefs is that Yoga is for everyone, whatever their age or physical ability. This is something in which I whole-heartedly believe. I have seen the many benefits of Yoga practice in all aspects of life (physical, mental & spiritual) and this inspires me, both in my own practice and in my teaching. After my primary teacher training, I undertook an additional training with Yoga Therapy Ireland in 2013 and gained my certification to teach Yoga for Pregnancy. Over a two-year period 2013 / 2014, I completed a 300-hour Yoga Alliance-certified Advanced Teacher Training Course with Lisa Petersen and Dave Curtis, which served to deepen both my personal practice and my understanding of what it is to teach Yoga. I am now assisting Lisa Petersen on the current round of this training. I regularly attend workshops, retreats and classes with internationally respected teachers such as Amy Matthews, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli and Donna Farhi. My practice has brought me to many wonderful teachers, each of whom has given me the gift of their knowledge and experience. I enjoy sharing this precious gift with others.
